Avoid my expensive mistake and do not use this company.
I contacted Huaptec and was depending on their expertise to advise me on the correct product to purchase as I needed to boost the internet signal on my phone.
I was advised of a particular model, I asked if they had it in stock (as I wanted a swift transaction). The sales advisor said yes, so I proceeded with the order.
A day later I was contacted to say the product was no longer available but a more expensive model was available. This should have raised alarm bells with me but unfortunately I trusted them and proceeded with the transaction.
When the product arrived I set it up carefully according to their instructions but it did nothing to boost my phone signal. This is because I had been sold the wrong product for my phone operator.
I am not an expert on phone signals, all I knew was that my internet signal was weak and I hoped to have it boosted. Perhaps if the sales advisor was a bit more careful and asked more specific questions they could have sold me the correct device.
When dealing with Huaptec they were very quick to respond when selling me a product. But when there was a problem they were slow to respond, adversarial, and they blamed me for the mistake.
I returned the product for a refund. When sending it back I packed it securely, sent it via recorded delivery addressed to Inesa Brown (a customer service agent with whom I corresponded). I enquired as to whether they received the package. They were slow to respond again, and accused me of damaging a cable!
So the end result is that I am getting a partial refund for a product which I was poorly advised on. I am also out of pocket for a considerable amount of money due to the delivery charges which I had to pay.
I would never use this company again, and would advise everyone else to avoid them.
